Excellent work, Palmer. This is the guy you wanted us to suggest questions for? In the end we know what accent she went for, but of course nice legal US viewers do not.

Still haven't answered KevinCV's questions and others from the previous thread. I'll get there, I promise.

Another brilliant ep, guys. I agree with all you guys said. It was a fantastic episode. I was a bit unsettled by that moment where that guy's head turns into a Smiler's. I also liked the little cameo of Churchill at the end. It made me all the more excited for "Victory of the Daleks".

Although the scene with the whale vomit took me back to an episode from the third season of "Farscape" called "Green-Eyed Monster" where the ship gets swallowed in a creature called a budong and one of the crew members comes up with the idea of making it vomit in order for them to make an escape. Although, speaking of "Farscape", I coulda sworn I heard Chris say "fek" instead of "fuck". If that means he's a Scaper too, my respect for him has gone up several notches. If not, that's fine.

Although, I honestly feel bad for any American "Doctor Who" fans who aren't going to be following Series 5 via torrents. Mostly because this week they're going to be watching the debut of the 11th Doctor, while the rest of us will be seeing the return of the Daleks. :D Anyway, keep up the brilliant work, fellas!

I'm afraid my respect level must remain static, for "feck" is actually derived from an Irish version of that same word, here demonstrated wonderfully by Mrs Doyle.

I know that since the advent of torrenting two weeks can seem a long time for things to arrive, but that really is a short space of time for a Transatlantic television programme to appear. Especially in this direction.

I mostly speak of LOST here, which debuted in the US on - of course - 22 September 2004 and eventually arrived here on 10 August 2005.

Since season 3, though, the rights have been bought by a satellite broadcaster so if one doesn't buy their service they can't see it anyway (so most folks here kind of forget it's still on). In recent years the Transatlantic time differential has by and large reduced drastically, mostly due to torrenting, meaning that we get to see FlashForward after only four days.

Hooray?

kevin, also thought of the budong! however, Farscape main swear was Frell, not fek. :)

and then there were mivonks. and hezmana. and dren.

not that i've watched way too much farscape or anything...

Actually Palmer, "fek" was used on "Farscape" as well. In the 3rd season episode "Losing Time", after the whole incident with the energy rider and everyone is recovering, John asked Chiana if she was alright, and she said something along the lines of "I'll be fine, I just feel like fek right now.".

Although, I'm ecstatic to meet a fellow Scaper on here. I've actually been going back and watching it when I'm not watching Doctor Who. I'm amazed at how well everything holds up. It's awesome. I wish I had the cash to get the comics right now, though. They just started an ongoing line focusing on Mr. Scarren Half-Breed himself, Scorpius, :)

Oh, and one more thing: there's no such thing as too much Farscape. :D

ah! an ancillary extra-solar swear! interesting.

farscape is pretty terrific. really hoping that they eventually make those webisodes.

also, DOCTOR WHOOOOOOOOOOO!

I bought an iPod itouch last month and have been listening to a lot of podcasts. I just want you guys to know you are one of the best out there. I don't have BBC America here so have to get new episodes off iTunes two weeks after they air there in the UK. I love spoilers so I listen to know what to expect. Thanks loads and keep it up.

Wow! Thanks, Brandon! Glad you're enjoying the show - no idea how you found it, but if it was just searching the iTunes store for "doctor who podcast" then clearly our naming structure is doing well for us :)

Glad you aren't offended by our vigorous swearing.
